We had our long dreamed of sailing holiday with 8 nights in the Whitsundays. Beautiful weather, great sailing, top snorkeling, no disasters.
Dusty, the newest addition to our family. Female purebred Kelpie, an Australian working breed for herding. She is a bundle of energy but is very slowly improving behaviour. Great running partner.
Here Dusty is about 7 months old, doing a herding school for city dogs. In the theory shed she was the class idiot just wanting to play, but once inside the yard the switch to instinct was stunning. It looked like she had done it all before and was clear top of the class.

Before my first Half Marathon. 1:50:30 was 5 minutes slower than training but the plan was to ensure a finish. Its a great feeling running into the 'G after working towards it for so long.
We did the City2Sea fun run. Annemarie and the kids did the 5k. All achieved PB's in one form or another and made me very proud. Jenna is worth a special mention, running 2nd in category and 29th female from 1500. I managed to take 3 1/2 minutes off last years time in the 14k run.
While on the topic of runs, I finally did a Biathlon which was a 1k open water swim and 10k run. I found it a terrific combination and thoroughly enjoyed it. Pardon the dodgy pose.

We have been enjoying kayaking on the Yarra with the river up over winter and spring. There is some nice class II rapids on this 40 minute downstream section, and we can then lock up the kayaks and walk back over the hill with wonderful views amongst the kangaroos to the car. We have some very funny videos (maybe you had to be there) doing the rapids. Annemarie and Michelle have become pretty good and handling the kayak together.
Ben and his mates on their graduation evening, high school this year. The boys on either side of Ben, Brenton and Spencer, live in the same street as us and they do heaps together
I took Rachel for an overnight kayak trip down the Goulburn river for her 16th birthday. They were releasing plenty of water from Lake Eildon so it was fast flowing and very fresh. On the first day we were generally going running pace or faster. Lots of beautiful spots to stop and rest or camp, very peaceful and plenty of wildlife including about 10 platypus.
Ben and his mates riding home on their last day of primary school. They rode rain hail or shine last year.
