Beach time

We managed to get away for a few days in the school holidays. Point Leo is a favourite because its just an hour away, our camp site is right on the beach (the shot below is from the site), it has protected beaches to choose from according to the prevailing wind, it has lots of rock at low tide and it has waves.
Water temperature is still a bit cool so they weren't right in for long but they were still keen to do all the usual.

I got a new wetsuit for my birthday which will come in handy. Jenna reckons its much easier to grip onto. Got my eye on a new surfboard that was supposed to be for my 40th too, but I reckon I'll be fighting Rachel for it the way she is going.

Out and about

Winter seemed shorter this year, probably helped going away in winter. The National park is next door to us and its always a good spot to go for a quick barbie or fish and chips, a run in the playground and a walk in the forest. We are finding that the kids are getting hard to catch and even harder to get away from when we play chasey.Despite the looks we always enjoy the National Park.

Birds paddock is still a favourite. Jenna is on a bike now but we still bring the pram as a backup vehicle. The walks are now walk/jogs. Shouldn't be too far away and it will be 6 bikes loaded onto the van.

Birthdays

Going back in September it was Michelles birthday and she decided she wanted to have a party at home. Of course she couldn't leave friends out so we ended up with a house full of screaming 8 year old girls. Memorable.Dancing away. We had pretty good weather so we were able to have the kids outside for a lot of the time. The tarzan swing is always popular (only one mishap) and Annies search by clue for the lolly bags was a hit.
You have to feel for Ben. He copes pretty well with three sisters (or rather they cope with him) but to have a house full of girls? Actually he was getting over being sick at the time so he was fairly subdued.
