NSW trip

We got away for a couple of weeks for an overdue break and went to the southern NSW coast. We went as far as Batemans Bay and had terrific weather virtually the whole time. My dad fitted a couple of removable bunks in the caravan for us so we had a much better space than previous, and we have managed to drag the caravan into lots of nice places. This is in Mimosa National Park (Karel & Annemieke might recognise it here)
We mixed it up between staying in the National parks and caravan parks and did all sorts of activities including fishing, swimming, surfing, walking, scootering, campfiring etc...

National parks are always great at night, plenty of wildlife, stars and noises. The first night is always a bit scary for the kids but they quickly settle into it. This is a Southern Brown Bandicoot snooping around.

NSW trip 2

Beachside at Tathra. Its always interesting to see the different wildlife to what we normally see at home.

Visited Mogo zoo, a small zoo that has mainly endangered animals, on the only day that was a bit drizzly and not so good for the beach. Its been a while since the kids have been to a zoo so they got right into it.


Narooma. The scooters were a good one for traveling. They pack up small and just about every town has a skate park or track. Speeds up the pace a bit too when we go for a walk. They all got into the skate park thing, even Jenna zooms around.

Bournda National Park. Saw a few of these Lace monitors in the National parks and this one is not the biggest.

Enjoying the beach near Eden. We were in a caravan park here and they had a special where the kids stayed free. When some of the National parks were wanting up to $47 per night for our family it was very pleasant to find this one.

We love the bush campsites but staying in a caravan park every so often gave the trip a great variety. Pools, spas, jumping pillows, other kids etc etc. Even tried a bit of tennis which was interesting...
