Family photos

These days I usually find trying to take a family photos very trying. In fact mostly I don't even bother trying to get the kids looking right, I just take the photo and say 'Well thats captured the moment' as heads are turned, rabbit ears are shown or kids are half missing. Nevertheless, we have managed to get a few shots for Christmas. All I can say is I'm thankful for digital cameras.

More photos dad?

What happened to November?

Well here we are in December already. I'll just put in a few shots of the last couple of months.

Our church has their annual billy cart race day. The kids have a bit of a bus that they can pile in and they usually go alright, although I have found it pays to keep a pretty close eye on it when the youngest kids are driving. Here is Ben driving with Jenna as a passenger.

Michelle saw some building materials I had stacked ready for some work and got it in her mind that she wanted to build a mini house. We talked her into doing it out of cardboard boxes instead (I could see myself spending a weekend on it otherwise) and here she is painting it up.

Rachels turned 10 in November. They don't have a party every year but we usually go out to maccas or something with a friend.

At the local Carols by candlelight. Ben has decided he doesn't want his hair cut anymore, I think there are a couple of friends at school doing the same thing. We have had a couple of hot spells and I think he is weakening. He came into our bedroom at 3am the other day and declared he wanted a haircut now but by morning it was all forgotten

Party girl Jenna got very excited by the fireworks and was bouncing around as though she would go all night but traveling home from Ferntree Gully to Upper Ferntree Gully she was fast asleep.

The original creek that our road was named after has long been flowing in barrel drains under the road but a recent downpour with about 40mm in 30 minutes had it flowing on top again. We had a decent torrent over our driveway, through the front yard and down the street. I only thought later that I should have grabbed a body board and given it a go so I could say I've surfed in my front yard.
