M Family Update: Where did term 3 go?

I note that the last post was July school holidays, and here we are in October school holidays now.

We celebrated Cadel Evans' win in the Tour de France by dressing in yellow jackets and riding to school instead of walking

Jenna wanted to go skating for her birthday so we had a bit of a party down there

Another cake from Annie for Michelles birthday, this time a chocolate mudcake (10/10). Michelle turned 12.

Grandpas birthday. Poor Annie made yet another cake but everything went wrong this time, so it kind of got glued together with icing. Tasted fantastic though!

Our bike riding destination used to be Birds Paddock, a nice local lake park, but now thats just the starting point. This is one of the mountain bike tracks leading out to Lysterfield.

Rachels netball team made it to the grand final this season but lost to the undefeated top side by a couple of points in a high quality match. This is her coach who has been terrific in encouraging Rachel to do well.

We had a really nice walk down to bushranger bay at Cape Schanck. The snakes were out enjoying the sunshine though, one we had to squeeze past on this track which got a bit interesting. We talked with some people later who had helped carry a young girl out that had just been bitten by a snake, and going by their description I reckon it was the same one.
